This tool assesses one business relationship between two specific people. It does not assess personalities or types.
As you answer the following questions, concentrate on only one business relationship you wish to evaluate (such as with a manager, colleague, team member or specific client). Return at any time to assess another relationship.
Do you consider your relationship to be synergistic, meaning that by working together you produce a greater result than what you bring to the table as an individual?
When conditions change, you are under stress or you are asked for something new or more from this relationship, how does the relationship tend to respond to this type of change?
How much do you trust each other?
How well do you know this other individual? Do you have a good understanding of each other as people in this relationship, over and above your job titles and roles?
If one party had the ability to end the relationship, would they be likely to do so?
How well do you connect with this individual? What have you done recently beyond discussing processes and results?
When was the last time you had a discussion about upcoming challenges and how to avoid any conflict that might occur?
What do you think you and the other person’s ultimate goal or intention here: are you both trying to do what is right for both, or are you competing in a win/lose conflict?
How easy is it for you to influence each other? Are you each willing to change in order to be more successful, or do you each mostly stick to your own way regardless of input from the other?
